About Me

I began my creative journey more than 15 years ago with a love of sewing and a desire to make something meaningful by hand. What started with quilting gradually became a much larger creative path—one filled with learning, experimenting, a few unexpected turns, and plenty of opportunities to grow. Quilting helped me build confidence as an artist and maker. With every new project, class, and challenge, I learned more about color, composition, fabric, and the joy of creating something from an idea. For me, quilting and art have always been about more than making something beautiful. They can bring comfort, spark creativity, and create a wonderful sense of accomplishment and personal pride. More recently, I expanded that journey into quilt pattern design. After completing a quilt pattern writing course, I released my first beginner-friendly quilt pattern, Birds and Bows. I loved the process of developing an idea into a finished pattern and seeing it become something another maker could create and enjoy. At the same time, I began exploring watercolor and surface pattern design. After taking courses in both, I discovered a creative process that immediately felt like home: beginning with an idea or moment of inspiration, painting the individual elements by hand, digitizing the artwork, and transforming it into a seamless repeating pattern. Seeing those designs come to life on fabric, wallpaper, apparel, home décor, and other products opened an entirely new creative direction for me. I realized I wanted to build collections that could move beyond the page and become part of the objects and spaces people enjoy every day. Today, my primary focus is surface pattern design and art licensing, while quilt pattern design remains an important part of my creative work. My portfolio combines hand-painted watercolor, illustration, and digital design to create original patterns and coordinating collections with a warm, playful, and often whimsical point of view. I’m excited to collaborate with brands, manufacturers, and art directors looking for original artwork for fabric, home décor, giftware, apparel, stationery, children’s products, and other lifestyle categories.
